Substitute Teacher's Classroom Management Idea

No one enjoys subbing for a class which is chaos. One trick you can use is to go into a new classroom supplied with a stuffed mouse or the image of a mouse; the book, Samantha the Story Mouse; and a collection of mouse tails to give out to students who exhibit "quiet as a mouse" trait.

Often you do not know how much time extra time you may have to fill so it helps to explain at the start of the day you have brought along your friend Samantha Mouse. You do not think she will bother the class for she is very quiet. Students who are very quiet and do not interrupt class will receive a special Samantha Mouse badge at the end of the day.
